The Minister of City Planning of the Republic of Melonia (more commonly known as simply the “Minister of City Planning”) is a member of the Executive Branch of the Republic of Melonia. The City Planning Minister is responsible for creating Melonia's building codes and laws, basing these laws on what is most important for Melonian prosperity, such as designs and safety features.

President TheRandomMelon created the position on May 31, 2022 in order to make overall city planning easier, especially in the early days of Melonia when it was just a small settlement (this area is now known today as Downtown). President Webb appointed Blake to this position, and he still holds this position today.

The Minister of City Planning was incredibly important to building the early foundations of Melonia. Under the leadership of the City Planning Ministry, Melonia had their first government headquarters, the Amogus House, and created the initial streets that are still in use today in Downtown.

This ministry has advised on and managed the situation that called the first Senate Emergency Meeting, Mexican3636’s river farm. The farm took up the entire length of the river, preventing boats from accessing the other side. Minister Blake proposed and completed the removal of three blocks in the center of the farm to free up enough space for water traffic to move forward again.

The Minister of City Planning is responsible for creating and maintaining the Melonia Building Code, a code that lays out the requirements for all buildings and structures across the nation.

This ministry is also responsible for designing all streets and other kinds of transit across all cities and regions of Melonia. They must ensure that the roads are easy to navigate, accessible to all kinds of foot traffic, and are efficient for moving from place to place.

Blake is the only person in Melonian history to hold this position currently. The position is currently vacant.
