The Melonian Representative Party, also known by its acronym MRP, is a political party formed by Mayor Michael Webb on June 29, 2022.
Founding (June 29, 2022)
Background
Bannerman, recently becoming a naturalized Melonian citizen, still had a lot of love for his native land of Cieurnia, and therefore, started a political party called Parteife Grejta to push Cieurnian culture and ideals into the Melonian Senate.
Forming
In response to this party forming, Mayor Michael Webb decided that this new party could pose a threat to the current makeup of the Melonian government, and decided to form the Melonian Representative Party, along with Senator Scion. Senator cstro joined very soon after formation, making him a founding member as well.
Ideals
In the official political party filing, the MRP states that their manifesto is as follows:
“The Melonian Representative Party is a political party that aims to lead the City of Melonia to its deserved glory. We are pro-Constitution, pro-democracy and aim to keep Melonia as a representative democracy. We aim to expand Melonian progress, infrastructure, and culture throughout the server. We also aim to keep Melonia as one whole city instead of sectioned off areas based on culture. We aim to serve all citizens, not just Melonian natives.”
